Confusion has continued to trail the claim by four gunmen that they killed the ‘Commander’ of Ebubeagu Security outfit in Imo State.
Ikengaonline gathered from a video which went viral on social media, showing how a young man in red and blue jeans was shot to death, dragged through the forest and his body dumped in a pit inside the forest.
But at the time of filing this report, the particular forest and the community where the incident reportedly took place were yet to be ascertained.
However, some persons said to be relatives to the murdered young man came out to condemn the video, claiming that the slain man was a victim of mistaken identify.
“The man killed was innocent and his name is Ugochukwu Oliora, from Amaebu in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State and not the Ebubeagu Commander known as Mosabi.”
This came after reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had declared the Commander of Ebubeagu security outfit wanted over the alleged killing of some youths in Awo-Omamma in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.”
At the time of filing this report, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Michael Abattam, was yet to respond.
