The President, Digital Bridge Institute, (DBI), Prof. Mohammed Ajiya, Tuesday, joined other top executives from Ministries, Departments and Agencies to cross fertilize ideas on enhancing businesses and economic growth in the country.

The event, tagged: “The Contribution of Nigerian Port Authority in Enhancing Economic Growth and Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria” was lunch time seminar organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR) in Abuja, the nations capital territory.

Speaking at the seminar, Director General, BPSR, Mr Dasuki Arabi, in his opening remarks stated that the event was in line with broader function of conducting research on reform implementation efforts and presenting “Best Practice” models.

He noted that the bureau instituted the ‘Lunch Time Seminar’ series to address topical issues in the public domain and to enhance growth and ease of doing business.

He said there’s need to automate the documentation process, payment process, terminal/shipping operations. “If all these processes are automated businesses will be made easy,” he said. 

Speaking further, the BPSR Boss described the President of DBI as a graduate of e-government master plan of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He also described DBI as an institute created by the Federal Government to up-skill and up-scale Nigeria corporate service in digital processing of work and the e-government master plan.

 Meanwhile, the Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, in his lecture said that the contribution of NPA to the national economy has attracted reputable international organizations as technical partners or joint ventures.
