The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mighty Minds Africa (MMA), Miss Ifunanya Enezuagu, has charged African youths to take advantage of the digital evolution to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

She stated this in Enugu at the 2nd Youth Empowerment Summit 2022 organised by MMA with the theme: “Building Sustainable Future for Youths in the Digital Era.”

Enezuagu said the era of youths sitting down and idling around waiting for white collar jobs was over.

“That is why we are out to mentor the youths on how to use the Digital Space to recreate themselves and become successful entrepreneurs.

“The youths in Africa can do a lot with the digital tools at their disposal including Laptops, Mobile Phones, iPads among others.

“Mighty minds work to elevate African youths to create opportunities and find solutions to challenges in Education, Skills Acquisition, Employment and Community issues,” she said.

According to her the Empowerment Summit (the second in the series), was targeted at educating and empowering 100 youths in Enugu State between the ages of 16 and 29 years on how to use Digital Space.

“The MMA educates the youths on virtual assistance, film making, guiding them to draw business designs proposals and other creative activities using digital tools in digital space.

“We decided to chose those category of youths because that is the age when they would be in school and grooming them at that age is timely and effective.

“Those category of youths have the tools: mobile phones and laptops and can sit on their own and use digital space to make money and better their lives,” she said.

Also speaking at the occasion, Miss victoria Popoola, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Talent Hunt Africa, said that, youths can achieve their life dreams using digital space.

According to her, Talent Hunt Africa in collaboration with MMA have mentored several youths on the use of digital space to become great entrepreneurs, especially in the area of film making and entertainment.

“I can say that in the last two years, we have successfully mentored over 40 youths on film making and they are now on their own doing well,” she said.

The NGO later presented some laptops and mobile phones to some of the participants.

One of the participants, Miss Chiamaka Ugwu, a student, said the training was a source of motivation to her.

“I really enjoyed the training; it is making me to begin to rethink about my future after school,” she said.
