As outrage continues to trail the viral video of a purported five-day-sit-at-home order in ‘Biafra land’ from Friday December 9 to December 14, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has again,  disowned the viral video, urging all residents of the South-East to discountenance same.

Kanu’s thought was conveyed by his younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, who visited him at the headquarters of the Department of State Services, DSS, in Abuja on Thursday.

Prince Emmanuel quoted his brother as saying that he never issued nor directed anybody home or abroad to issue any such senseless sit-at-home order on his behalf.

According to the IPOB Leader, issuing sit-at-home order at this season of the year which matters so much to Ndigbo smacks of lack of wisdom.

He said that those behind the order “are the real enemies of Biafra.”

He said: “My brother said, at no time did I order anybody or group to issue such sensitive orders.

“He directed all IPOB members to ignore anybody calling for a 5-day sit-at-home.

“My brother said that our people should know that that those who issue such orders are the real enemies of Biafra, and must be dealt with.

“He equally told me that Biafrans should know that he is in detention for their sake and not to compound their problems.”

Kanu urged people in the South-East to go about their lawful duties  without fear of molestations.
