All 17 Local Government Area Chairmen in Abia State, their Deputies and Councillors have been dissolved.
Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, who approved the dissolution directed the former Council bosses to immediately hand over to the Head of Service in their respective LGAs.
The directive was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem.
According to the statement made available to Ikengaonline, the dissolution is sequel to the expiration of their tenure.
They were elected into office in 2020 for a two-year term.
Ikpeazu, thanked the ex- Council officials for their services while wishing them well in their future endeavours.
