Ben Ezechime, Enugu

The Labour Party (LP) Governorship candidate for Enugu State, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, has promised to reconstruct all roads that connect Uzo Uwani to Nsukka if elected during the forthcoming election.

Edeoga said this at Igbo-ano in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, in continuation of his campaign tour to the area.

The LP candidate was in Ugbene Ajima 1 and 2, Nimbo 1 and 2, Abbi and Nrobo wards to meet with party faithful and supporters.

He said that the reconstruction of abandoned roads linking the rural communities of Uzo Uwani to Nsukka Urban will be part of his priorities to enable farmers convey their products to Nsukka and other urban areas.

He said that he would also address the issue of security threats in areas prone to attacks by hoodlums.

He expressed joy over the large crowd of party faithful and supporters that came out to receive him in the various communities, adding that it was a clear sign of victory for the party.

“I must really commend you for your show of solidarity and overwhelming support.

“It means we are together in our efforts to rescue our dear Enugu State.

“I promise you in all sincerity that I will wipe away your tears if I become governor on May 29th,” he said.

Edeoga further promised them that his administration will bring the insecurity ravaging the communities to an end.

“I am assuring you that, if voted into power, I will construct Abbi-Nrobo Road and connect it to Edem Ani Road in Nsukka.

“I will also reconstruct and expand Ugbene Ajima Road through Nimbo, Opanda to Adani within the first  year of my first tenure in office,” he said.
