CP praises Anambra residents for display during Assembly election

Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has extolled citizens in Anambra State for their conducts and dispositions during the 2023 general elections.

Recall that CP Adeoye was deployed to Anambra by the Inspector General of Police for the 2023 house of assembly election.
Following the exercise, the CP was full of praise for the people of the state who he said conducted themselves peacefully during the polls.

The CP who disclosed this through the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the people’s conducts were akin to the peaceful disposition they exhibited during the 2021 governorship election when he was DC Operations for the Command.

Besides commending residents, Adeoye applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the State for its dedication and commitment to a transparent and credible exercise.

The Commissioner also thanked the State Government for allowing a level playing ground for the people to express their choice. He also extolled the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by the contestants who he said exhibited maturity throughout the period of the exercise.

Adeoye who also disclosed that his men enjoyed synergy with and support from relevant stakeholders in the state, commended Officers and Men of the Police Command for their neutrality and professionalism during the election.

He said Heads of security agencies in the state exhibited patriotism and sacrifice in the discharge of their duties during the election.
