Abia ‘ll witness rapid economic transformation under Otti – Ojah
. As Ihechiowa community pledges support

As reactions continue to trail the emergence of Dr Alex Otti of the Labour Party as Abia Governor-elect, an Australian -based philanthropist, Dr Okwun Ojah, has said that Abia under the ex-banker, would witness rapid economic transformation.
This is as the people of Ihechiowa community home and abroad, have pledged their unalloyed support for Otti, saying that the eruption of joy across the state following his emergence is a confirmation that he is truly the choice of the people.
Ojah, a philanthropist in a congratulatory message, also said that “Otti’s landslide victory symbolised that greater percentage of Abians were eager to have a positive change in the state.
He expressed optimism that with Otti’s pedigree, and capacity, Abia, in the months ahead, would become a reference state in all sectors.
He commended Otti for his resilience, and doggedness, which he said, had paid off.
“Otti has the interest of the masses at heart and knows how to hit the ground running”, Ojah said while pledging his total support in every effort to rebuild Abia.
Ojah wished the Governor-elect success as he “prepares to take up the responsibility and daunting task of clearing the ruins bad governance by the out-going administration and drying the tears on the faces of Abians”.

Ihechiowa community in a joint statement by the President General, Ihechiowa Development Union, Chief Dr Chukwudi Nweke, a lawyer; and the Publicity Secretary, Professor Uwaoma Uche, said that the emergence of Otti would mark the beginning of a new dawn in Abia.
Commenting the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for not subverting the will of the people, the statement noted that there has been continuous joy and celebration across the state since Otti was announced the winner of the March 18 governorship poll.
The statement made available to Ikengaonline read in part:”Your victory is resonating across the length and breadth of the entire state which is an eloquent testimony to your high level of acceptability.
“This is an affirmation of your deep grassroot and people oriented democratic ideals.
“It is in recognition of your astute leadership qualities which we discovered in Ihechiowa long before now when the entire Ihechiowa community conferred on you our highest Chieftaincy title.”
Thanking God for Otti’s victory the statement said”we commit to giving our total and unalloyed support to you and your incoming administration.”
