Unknown gunmen shoot police officers in Enugu

Two Police officers were on Sunday shot dead at a stop- and-search check point in Enugu.
A source revealed that the incident took place along Kenyatta Street Uwani close to the University of Nigera Enugu Campus (UNEC) stadium.
It is not known who or which group carried out the attack as such killings had abated in the state in recent times.
The Police Command in the state was yet to comment on the killing as at the time of going to the press.
Meanwhile, residents close to the area are said to be living in fear as police have cordoned off the place.
