Bandits have abducted about ten students of Government Secondary School, Awon, a day secondary school in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Monday.

Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement said the State Government received a preliminary reports from security agencies regarding kidnap of the students.

According to the preliminary reports, Aruwan said the exact location of the incident is yet to be ascertained.

The statement said detailed reports were being awaited to clarify whether the incident occurred within the school premises or elsewhere.

“The Government will issue a public statement accordingly when these reports are received.”

Meanwhile, in a related development, security operatives in Kaduna arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of two people in Sabon Garin Nasarawa and Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
