House of Representatives member-elect for Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo(Ohanivo) Federal constituency, Nkemkanma Kama, has urged Ebonyi children to shun cultism, violence and other vices.
Mr Kama, who was elected to serve in the 10th National Assembly under the Labour Party, gave the admonition in a Children’s Day message to children of the constituency.
He described Ebonyi children as special and priceless jewels who deserve to be properly handled to blossom into competent an and successful future leaders of the state and country.
He charged them to take their educational pursuit seriously as it is the bedrock of every society.
The incoming lawmaker promised to work assidously to create conducive atmosphere that would enable children of the constituency and state to maximize their talents and achieve their full potentials.
Mr Karma also advised them to love one another and also to respect their parents and elders at all times.
The statement reads: “My dear children of Ohanivo, let me join the world to celebrate you all today, you are special, you are priceless, we appreciate you all.
“By God’s grace, we shall create a better/enabling OHANIVO, to allow you thrive and bring out the best in you all in every sphere of life.
“Remember, Education is the bedrock of every great society. Stay away from violence, Cultism and all evil vices.
“Love one another, live in peace, respect your parents, respect your elders and respect one another Happy Children’s Day,” he said.
