Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned an indigenous steel plant to reaffirm his resolve to encourage industrialisation in the State.
The indigenous plant, Milton Steel Manufacturing Company Limited, was commissioned in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The governor while commissioning the project reiterated his resolve to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.
He also assured to create a conducive environment for industrialisation through the provision of 24hour supply in the state.
While assuring to remain focused in the business of providing good governance to the people of the state, the governor maintained that he remains the Chief marketing Officer of everything “Made in Anambra” adding that the best way to create jobs is to promote local manufacturing.
He promised to continue doing what he can as a government to create enabling environment for industrialisation to help achieve industrialised and tech driven economy.
He commended the founders for the bold step assuring his support to help the industry grow.
One of the Directors of the Company and Member-Elect Representing Oyi Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Mr Innocent Ojike, in his address said that their interest is to create jobs, wealth and grow the economy of the state.
He thanked Governor Soludo for his efforts in repositioning the state for the better and promised their support.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Industry, Mr Christian Udechukwu, other government functionaries attended the event.
