Six persons have been arrested for allegedly vandalising property belonging to the Government of Anambra State, Ikengaonline reports.
The suspects were paraded after joint a operation involving the operatives of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra; Ocha Brigade and Hood Security on Tuesday.
The suspects were alleged to have vandalised cables and facilities at Okpuno in Awka South Local Government Area.
Confirming the incident, MD/SG Ocha Brigade, Celestine Anere, said that the suspects have been charged to court and would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
He warned that hoodlums who continue to vandalise Government property and engage in activities of defacing the State would face the full weight of the law.
He also urged people of the state to dissociate from unlawful acts, but help the state government in its drive to achieve a livable and prosperous homeland.
