Hon. Pius Ezugwu, member representing Nsukka East Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, says he will work in synergy with the state Ministries of Lands, Environment and Urban Development to make the desired impact.
It would be recalled that, Hon. Ezugwu was on Wednesday named the Chairman of Committee on Lands, Environment and Urban development by the Speaker of the house, Hon. Uche Ugwu during plenary.
Reacting to the appointment by the speaker, Ezugwu, who is a Labour Party representative said the task ahead was enormous and required a collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the ministries to achieve appreciable results.
He said: “The speaker has just announced it today and that means the real business of the assembly has begun in earnest.
“Firstly, I will meet with the heads of relevant ministries, agencies and departments and we take it from there.
“The overall interest is to make Enugu State and my constituency great.”
He thanked the speaker and all the members of the house for finding him worthy to head the committee.
Ezugwu equally assured them of his continuous diligence in the discharge of his duty “for the best interest of the entire Enugu state people and Nsukka East, which is my primary constituency.”
It would be recalled that Ezugwu won the state assembly election on March 18, on the platform of the Labour Party.
