The stage is now set for the official flag-off of the six-lane Ossah Road expansion project by Gov. Alex Otti.
Earth-moving machines and other equipment have been lined up at the Okpara Square end of the Ossah Road, awaiting the arrival of Governor Otti.
The Governor had said he decided to embark on the project to give Umuahia, the state capital a befitting look.
Owners of the affected structures for demolition had protested but Government assured they would be compensated.
The traditional ruler of Mgbaja Ossah Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Chiabuotu Emelike, told Ikengaonline that some of his subjects had started getting alerts for payment of their compensation.
