Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has told security operatives in South-East to stop humiliating passengers at checkpoints.
The lawyer expressed angst over the humiliating treatment being meted out to passengers in the zone at checkpoints by security operatives who order them to alight from their vehicles.
Ejimakor who took to his X (formerly Twitter) described the treatment as provocative.
Kanu’s lawyer urged the Federal Government to stop the ugly trend and treat people from the zone with dignity.
“The phenomenon in Igboland in which every passenger is forced to alight from vehicles & cross on foot at security checkpoints is an exemplar of the institutional humiliation & oppression of Ndigbo that started with Buhari & continues to this day. And it fuels provocation to boot,” Ejimakor wrote.
