… As family commends DSS

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has advised Biafra agitators and security agencies to be watchful and carefully guard against attacks by criminal elements ahead of the Supreme Court judgment in his suit against the Federal Government on December 15.
Kanu who spoke through his younger brother Prince Emmanuel Kanu after the later visited him Thursday at the Abuja headquarters of the Department of State Services, DSS, where he is currently detained, warned that some mischievous elements might decide to cause confusion by targeting either Biafra agitators or security operatives, and blame the attack on IPOB.
According to him, the aim of such mischievous elements is to portray Kanu and IPOB “as violent people that they are not.”
He said that Kanu and IPOB believe in peaceful restoration of Biafra through non- violence, and should not be associated with anyone fomenting trouble.
“I met with my brother today, and I want to commend the DSS for allowing the family full access to him unlike before.
“I have a message from my brother for all our people and also for security operatives. He asked me to tell everybody to be very watchful and careful because some bad elements might decide to be funny just to make things difficult for him as the Supreme Court judgment on his matter is coming up on December 15.
“He made it clear that he does not support violence and should not be associated with such. He also told security agents not to hide under any guise to cause confusion.
“Security agents have problems among themselves and can cause problem and blame it on IPOB. He said everybody should be careful.”
Kanu said that he had not asked anyone to resort to violence and urged members of the public to watch out against those creating confusion to indict him.
Meanwhile, his family has commended the DSS, for complying with court orders allowing Kanu access to his approved visitors.
The family said they were happy that all three persons permitted by court to visit Kanu were all given access to him unlike the passing weeks where the agency did not allow him access to the entire visitors.
The family commended the secret police for complying with the court order, urging it to sustain the tempo.
