Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has again floored his major opponents at the March 18 governorship poll, Chief Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; and High Chief Ikechi Emenike of the All Progressives Congress, APC, following the dismissal of their appeals by the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos.
According to Governor Otti’s Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Uko, the Appellate court described the lawyers to both litigants as “jesters,” and threw away their appeals.
The Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, had affirmed Otti’s victory and dismissed the petitions by the duo for lack of merit.
According to Uko, the court likened the petitions as “a comedy skit.”
