Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) and Royal Instinct Project Ltd have sought Federal Government endorsement of a Reality TV Show called National Academic Challenge (NAC).
The President/CEO of DBI, Professor Mohammed Ajiya, and Mrs. Oyeyemi Adeyemi of the Royal Instinct Project Ltd, were at the Federal Ministry of Education on Thursday, to seek the endorsement of the ministry for the commencement of the exercise.
NAC, an Annual Reality TV Show, was created to promote educational interest among young Nigerians.
Mrs. Oyeyemi, during the project presentation, stated that the show is designed for senior secondary school students from SS1 to SS3 in any public or private secondary school across the country to participate in the show, and added that winners will be awarded scholarships and other monetary prizes.
She also emphasised that NAC is a medium for students to showcase their intelligence, creativity, innovativeness, teamwork, and communication skills.
In his speech, Prof. Ajiya added that the show will encourage a quality standard of education for Nigerian schools and students by promoting educational values in the minds of Nigerian youths as this will make the younger generation see the importance of obtaining good education and the benefits for their future.
Responding, Director, of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. Joseph Achede, said the project was welcomed development as the initiative was to celebrate excellence in education and ultimately improve the educational standards and systems in Nigeria.
