About six persons have reportedly feared dead in a building collapse that occured at Ochanja market by Woliwo Street, Fegge Onitsha, in Anambra State.
Sources said the building which is a three-storey plaza with over a hundred shops still under construction, collapsed at about 6pm on Monday.
Ikengaonline gathered that 20 other persons were rescued with various degrees of injuries and are currently hospitalized.
Confirming the incident, Anambra State Emergency Management Agency said over fifty of the workers who were at the site at the time of the collapse escaped death.
It said effort is still being made to rescue other victims trapped in the debris.
