The Imo State House of Assembly, has confirmed all the commissioner nominees on the list sent by Governor Hope Uzodimma for ratification.
Among those confirmed by the Assembly are the immediate past commissioner for information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, the immediate past commissioner for works, Ralph Nwosu, the immediate past commissioner for digital economy and e-govt, Chimezie Amadi.
Others are former commissioner for women affairs and vulnerable persons, Lady Nkechi Ugwu, the immediate past commissioner for agriculture and natural resources, Major Emenike, immediate past commissioner for environment, Obinna Onyeocha-Everistus, Anselm Anyanwu, Dr Chika Abazu, Modestus Osakwe and Cosmas Maduba.
Others include Former Federal lawmaker, Bede Eke, Former state house of assembly member, Mr. Obinna Onwuegbe and Mr. Modestus Osakwe.
The Clerk of the House of Assembly, Mrs Chinelo Emeghara, disclosed that 12 names have been forwarded by the governor for screening in the first batch, adding that four more names are being expected.
Governor Hope Uzodimma dissolved his cabinet on January 16, 2024, the day after his second tenure inauguration.
