In less than three weeks after bandits terrorising Kaduna State abducted 280 students, terrorists again kidnapped 87 locals in a fresh attack on Sunday night.
Recall that the abductors of the 280 students had demanded N 1 billion as ransom or they will eliminate the victims by March 30.
In the latest attack which occured around 10:pm according to a local source, the bandits stormed Kajuru Station Community and started shooting indiscriminately before abducting their victims mostly women and children.
Following the raid, some locals were observed relocating from the community on Monday for fear of further attacks.
An official of the Kaduna Kajuru-Station Youths, Harisu Dari, described the activities of bandits in the area as “terrible.”
Providing more insight on how the latest attack happened, he said the invaders broke into some shops to steal food and other provisions.
He said: “Two days ago, 15 women and a man were abducted in the Dogon-Noma community of Kajuru.
“For now, there is no contact yet with the 87 persons abducted on Sunday night.
“As of the time I visited the community this morning, security operatives have not been drafted to help restore the confidence of the villagers.
“The villagers are traumatised by the sad development. The government needs to re-strategise in tackling these terrorists,” Dari said.
Recall that on March 7, the bandits invaded LEA Primary School, Kuriga, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Despite efforts to contain the menace, insecurity has continued to fester across Nigeria.
