Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has given financial assistance to officers of the Enugu State Transport Management Authority (ESTMA), who were injured while on duty.
The Governor, through his representative,. Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Obi Ozor, presented financial aid to three deserving officers.
He emphasised that the state was committed to the well-being of its dedicated civil servants.
The beneficiaries, Engr. Jude Chime; Ogbodo Vivian; and Ihejikalu Judith, ESTMA officers who endured accidents in the line of duty, were each awarded a cheque of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000) to assist them offset their medical expenses.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, Ozor reiterated the administration’s gratitude to the dedication and service of the ESTMA officers.
He stressed the importance of remaining vigilant and cautious, particularly when dealing with vehicular movements at their duty posts.
“On behalf of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, I present this token of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000) each to support your hospital bills,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Engr Jude Chime, expressed profound gratitude for the Governor’s generosity and support.
He lauded Mbah’s tireless efforts in advancing the transportation sector and championing the well-being of the people of Enugu State.
