He said during interrogation, the suspect confessed to having stolen numerous electrical wiring and installation items from different building construction sites in Independence Layout and other parts of Enugu metropolis, using his Peugeot 406 car, which was also recovered.

The PPRO further disclosed that the suspect’s confessional statement further led to the arrest of one of his co-conspirators and main receiver and distributor of the stolen items, Mr Ogbonna Collins Maduabuchi “m,” aged 40, of Amechi-Uwani Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area, on April 9, 2024, at about 10:50 a.m who also confessed to the crime.
