Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated and assigned portfolios to twenty four commissioners and twenty special advisers to man the affairs of the state.

The governor while assigning portfolios at the New Executive Chambers, Government House Owerri, appointed himself as the commissioner for Lands in the state.

He warned the newly inaugurated members of the executive to steer clear from corruption capable of jeopardising the integrity of the administration.

The governor maintained that his administration will not entertain any power tussle between the public office holders and civil servants in the Ministry, Departments and Agencies.

Governor Uzodinma disclosed that he had set up a monitoring unit to track the performance of the public office holders stressing that any score below average was a failure and would not be tolerated.

He promised to work with them to actualise the vision 3R mantra centred on Recovery, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation, to enable the people feel the impact of his government.

Responding on behalf of other colleagues, the Commissioner For Justice and Attorney General, Chief Cyprian Akaolisa, thanked the Governor for the show of love and confidence reposed in them and promised that they would not bring shame to the administration.
