The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Enugu on Thursday called for closer synergy between FCID and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) within South-East and South-South regions.

AIG Kwazhi Dali, in-charge of FCID Annex of the Nigeria Police, made the call while receiving the Zonal Commanding Officer of FRSC Zone 9, Assistant Corps Marshal, Uche Chukwurah, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Enugu.

Dali, an Assistant Inspector General of Police, assured the FRSC of the support of his office and men to the Corps in the 11 states of the South-East and South-South zones, which is being covered by the FCID Annex.

According to him, They were looking to promote the existing cordial relations through closer synergy in joint investigation, sharing of intelligence and possible joint covert operations.

Earlier, Chukwurah, whose office covers South-East, appreciated the warm reception the AIG and his management team accorded her team even within a short notice.

The zonal FRSC boss also underscored areas of necessary inter-agency collaboration and cooperation between the Corps and the police particularly the FCID Annex, Enugu.

“We are particularly concerned with joint personnel training and retraining, which is geared towards ensuring safety on the roads,” she said.

High points of the courtesy call were presentation of a plaque by Dali to Chukwurah as well as a group photograph by officials of FCID Annex and FRSC.
