Lawyer and activist, Mr Dele Farotimi, will spend Christmas and the New Year at his home having been released from prison custody in Ekiti.
According to the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, via his X handle, the embattled Farotimi who has been held in Ekiti prison for alleged criminal defamation of Chief Afe Babalola in a book, Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System, was released Tuesday morning apparently after perfecting his bail conditions and already on his way to his Lagos home.
“I am pleased to report that @DeleFarotimi Farotimi is no longer being held at the prison yards in Ekiti state and is now returning home to Lagos. The struggle continues!
