Ozigbo had, resigned his membership from the LP on Wednesday citing his unwavering commitment to the greater vision for Anambra State.
In a statement via his X official handle, Ozigbo said that his resignation from the party was not a moment of uncertainty, but rather a bold step towards a brighter future for Anambra State.
A close ally of the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Ozigbo joined the LP alongside Peter Obi and his supporters shortly before the 2023 general election.
According to Ozigbo, “recent events have made it clear that the time has come for Anambra residents to build something new, something bold, and something that speaks to the hopes and aspirations of every Anambra son and daughter.”
