The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved two hundred million dollars investment to guarantee constant electricity supply in the state with the Orashi Electricity Company.
The Governor disclosed this while announcing the inauguration of members of the Electricity Regulatory Commission and the House of Assembly Service Commission.
He stated that the investment, secured through private partners, will be entirely funded by the partners, with no financial contribution or borrowing required from the state.
Expressing his confidence in the power project, the Governor said that Imo State will soon experience 24-hour steady power supply in all the Local Government Areas, come January 2025.
Governor Uzodimma maintained that the project is expected to boost the economy of the state, create job opportunities, stimulate local businesses, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
