Four victims of alleged kidnapped in Oshiagu Amia-Ngbo, Ngbo Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have regained their freedom. The victims, one of whom is the village head were reportedly rescued by officers of the police command in the state in collaboration with members of the local vigilance group. Enugu State Government on Wednesday celebrated survivors of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the state. The celebration followed the launch of the ‘COVID-19 Heroes and Heroins Campaign’ by the state government. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has condemned the recent killings of residents of some communities in Ebonyi by hoodlums. The Southeast Zonal Chairman of MACBAN, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki said this while briefing newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday. The Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Ogah says that the Federal Government has began the development of lead/zinc processing cluster in Ebonyi State. A Nongovernmental Organisation, Alliance For Africa (AFA) has held a state wide stakeholders’ consultative meeting aimed at addressing issues of gender inequality in Enugu State. Ahead of the launch of Dangote Fertilisers, farmers in the South East will be trained on farm demonstration and soil testing, an official of the company, Mr Ekene Obiefuna has said. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) says it has rolled out a N5billion international trade palliative for exporters and intending exporters in the country. The Assistant Director, Export Development and Incentives Department of the council, Mr Peter Njoku disclosed this on Wednesday in Enugu during a workshop organised for exporters in the South East region. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) on Tuesday trained no fewer than 100 manufacturers and producers of exportable products from the Southeast on non-mandatory products certification. The Executive Director of NEPC, Mr Olusegun Awolowo, said that the training was aimed at enhancing global market access for Nigeria exportable products.
