Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has decried the closure of Enugu International Airport by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). It would recalled that FAAN last week announced the closure following the collapse of a section of the runway. The leadership of the apex Igbo Organization, lamented that the closure came at the height of the Easter festive period when Ndigbo and other air transport users travel in high numbers. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria, AUFCDN, has decried the multiple taxes imposed on them on South-East and South-South highways. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has cried out for federal intervention, saying that the state is under siege by Fulani herdsmen who have been on killing spree in the state. Herdsmen had struck twice since Thursday, leaving a death toll of no fewer than 72 victims in two Benue communities.
