Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) says it disbursed over N32 million grant to young veterinarians across the country in 2024 to empower them and make them self-reliant. Dr Moses Arokoyo, the President of the association, disclosed this in Enugu during the 2025 World Veterinary Day Celebration. Arokoyo hinted that the event was organised in collaboration with the Enugu State Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industrialisation. The World Veterinary Day is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of April. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has announced, Monday April 28, as the date for reopening of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu. Mrs Obiageli Orah, Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection FAAN, said this in a statement in Enugu. Reports say some gunmen suspected to be political thugs stormed the rally group and began to shoot sporadically at the crowd, which immediately dispersed as participants scampered for safety.
