Ike Nnachi,  Abakaliki  One person was killed and at least ten houses burnt to ashes in Ndieguzu Agalegu Omege Community located in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. It was learned that many people were injured after suspected hoodlums attacked the community. The crisis allegedly erupted between the people of Omege Agalagu and Ukwuinyima. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki  An undergraduate, Hilary Chukwuemeka Ekuma, has been killed in an apparent assassination attack on him in Ebonyi Dtate. The victim, was said to be a student of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Uwana, Afikpo Local Government Area. He was gunned down at a relaxation centre in Afikpo town where he went to unwind. A source in the area said the victim was at the bar drinking when two men walked in, went straight to where he was sitting and shot him. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia No fewer than 86 persons perished in a petrol tanker explosion that left scores injured at Dikko Junction, Niger State, on Saturday. The death toll which was put at 70, with 50 injured on Saturday, increased by Sunday with the recovery of additional bodies at the scene. The  recovered bodies have been given a mass burial at Dikko area of the state.
