Ben Ezechime, Enugu The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has urged journalists and entertainers within the South-East to join the agency in its war against use of bleaching cream. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Abia Governor-Elect, Dr Alex Otti of the Labour Party, has warned the outgoing Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, against awarding fresh contracts as his administration winds down. Otti issued the warning Wednesday in Umuahia after he was issued with his certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Elections Petitions Tribunal says it has received 14 petitions from aggrieved politicians who lost the last elections in the state. The tribunal secretary, Mr Yusuf Folmi, disclosed this in Enugu at its office, Independent Layout Enugu. He said that though the tribunal had received 14 petitions, “we are still expecting more petitions within the time limit.” According to him, all the petitions were filed by both the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Labour Party, LP. He stated that 12 petitions were from candidates of House of Representatives and two from senate candidates.

Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Supplementary elections will hold in five State House of Assembly constituencies and one Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State on April 15. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Anambra State High Court, Awka division, has dismissed a suit seeking the removal of Sir Basil Ejidike-led State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Ikengaonline reports.
