This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Power and and Public Utilities, Ikechukwu Monday, an Engineer, during a stakeholders’ workshop on Off-grid Regulatory Framework in Umuahia, the state capital. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Government has sealed three fuel stations that allegedly indulged in sharp practices like meter adjustments and other sharp practices. The state government also issued a stern warning to fuel dealers and marketers in the 13 local government areas of the state, to shun shady practices. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Police in Ebonyi have confirmed that a couple, Mr George Obasi and Mrs Chioma Obasi died in Abakaliki after a gas explosion in their residence. It said contrary to rumors of inverter explosion or dynamite, preliminary investigation by its officers indicates that it was a gas explosion.
