Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State lawmaker, Hon. Okechukwu Okoye, who was kidnapped and beheaded by unknown gunmen was buried amidst tears, yesterday. The lawmaker until his death, represented Aguata Constituency II in the Anambra State House of Assembly. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia It is a reprieve for Biafra agitators as the United Nations, UN Human Rights Council Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, has requested “immediate and unconditional release” of the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Abakaliki Division of the Federal High Court on Friday struck out a suit by Governor David Umahi seeking to be recognized as the Ebonyi South senatorial district candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
