The Jands Travel Business School in collaboration with Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) and the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), has completed arrangements for South-East Tourism Conference fixed for November 28-29 2024.
Briefing newsmen on the preparations for the event, Mrs Chioma Obi, Director of Jands Travel Business School, Convener of the event and Enugu State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), said that a committee on the awards ceremony has been set up with Ambassador Emmanuel Ossai as its coordinator.
Obi further said that the workshop with the theme: “Exploring a Synergy to Boost Business & Entrepreneurship,” would hold at ECCIMA Hall, ECCIMA Secretariat, Enugu, beginning from 9am daily and will be followed by the awards at the second day of the event.
According to her, the event has been endorsed by Hon. Barr. Dame Ugochi Madueke, Enugu State Commissioner for Culture & Tourism; and the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority, (NTDA).
She urged members of the public to join industry experts, entrepreneurs and key players in the travel, tourism and hospitality sector for the insightful 2-day event, filled with networking, learning, cultural displays and opportunities to boost domestic tourism in Eastern Nigeria.
Ossai, coordinator of the awards committee, said that the awards would be in recognition of the individuals, who have excelled in their various professions and entertainment world.
He noted that: “The award celebrates the recipients’ profound contributions to culture and humanity.
“It is recognition of outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication to our traditions.
“It stands as a testament to their compassion and leadership.
“The recognition is a well-deserved tribute to the impact of their tireless efforts and enduring legacies.”
According to him, Nollywood Actors were great partners of Travels and Tourism Industry.

Among the awards are: Entrepreneurial Travel Consultant of the Year Award, Most Innovative Travel Agency Award and Rising Star Travelpreneurs Award.
Others are Tourism Impact Award, Beacon of Tourism Advancement Award, Best Actor in a Leading Role Award, Iconic Legend Award , Custodian of Heritage Award, Movie Industry Impact Award, Outstanding Lead Actress Award, and Clients Choice Award for Excellence.
