Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Thursday inaugurated the state-of-the-art Muse Boutique Hotel located at Dunamis Ave., off Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway by New Artisan Market.
The Three Star Hotel with 36 exquisite rooms, located in a serene and secure environment was built by Canadian based couple, Chief Godwin Anigozie and Mrs Joanna Anigozie from Nara Unateze, Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the inauguration, the Managing Director of the hotel, Mrs Joanna Anigozie, said that the essence of the investment was to promote tourism and create jobs in the state.
Anigozie said that 20 per cent of profits from the investment would be used to give back to society through education.
The managing director said that they had wanted to build a state-of-the-art library but decided to venture into the hospitality industry in order to back up future investments in education.
“We plan to support education in Nigeria. So, we hope to invest 20 per cent of the profits on books, other educational materials and programmes as a way of giving back to society.
“We love education and believe that it will empower the youths. We will continue to invest in educational programmes The talents are here in Enugu and we hope that this investment inspires our people for greatness,” Anigozie said.
Ikengaonline reports that prominent among those that witnessed the inauguration of the hotel are Speaker, Enugu House of Assembly, Chief Edward Ubosi, Member, representing Nkanu East and Nkanu West in the House of Representatives, Mr Nnoli Nnaji, traditional rulers among others.
