The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has appealed to it’s customers in the South-East region to remain vigilante and safeguard electricity installations in their neighborhood during and after Christmas celebration.
Mr Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications of EEDC, said this in the company’s Christmas message delivered to the media in Enugu.
He said it is imperative for communal vigilance on electricity installations/infrastructure so that customers would continue to enjoy the company’s services uninterrupted even after the festive period.
Ezeh assured customers that its technical teams would be on ground during the Yuletide to attend to faults that might crop up.
He added that the EEDC had equipped its technical team for this purpose and urged customers to report any fault in their areas by calling customer care center.
“Customers should report any fault by calling our 24/7 Call Center on: 084 700 100. Alternatively, they can send SMS/WhatsApp to 0815 082 6060 or 0815 082 6061,” he said.
He advised customers with outstanding arrears to take advantage of the Arrears One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme which is ending on Dec. 31, 2022 and enjoy 30 per cent discount.
“The OTS Scheme is an initiative introduced by EEDC to assist customers defray their accumulated arrears.
“Both commercial and residential customers, bulk communities, metered and unmetered customers are eligible for this discount scheme.
“Customers of EEDC are encouraged to also take advantage of the innovative service support channels provided by the company to make customer experience enjoyable; these include the EEDC Connect App and Energy Pay among others,” he said.
He assured customers of uninterrupted service before, during and after Christmas festivities
“We appreciate our esteemed customers for their support and cooperation through the year.
“We are assuring them of the company’s readiness to consistently improve on its services,” Eze said.
