The ninth Senate, Tuesday approved the request by President Bola Tinubu to appoint 20 Special Advisers.
Tinubu’s request was granted after it was read on the floor of the red chamber by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
The President, however, did not disclose the names of the 20 Special Advisers.
Tinubu had so far made seven appointments with five from his ethnic Yoruba while two from the North.
The South-East is yet to be considered by the newly-inaugurated President, thus raising concerns that he may be toeing the steps of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, who virtually excluded the zone from his political appointments.
