The Abia State Governor Friday in Government House Umuahia, swore-in sixteen new commissioners screened and cleared by the state House of Assembly.
The Governor also assigned portfolios to the new commissioners.
Meanwhile three out of the nineteen commissioner-nominees – Mike Akpara (said to be receiving treatment abroad); Ngozi Blessing Felix; and Ikechukwu Monday, said to have just returned from abroad), are yet to be sworn in as they have not gone for screening.
