The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Wednesday organised passing out of 614 members of the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 in Ebonyi State.
Out of the number, 263 were males while 351 were females.
However, 14 Corpse Members in the batch absconded from service while 37 others had their service year extended for various offences.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Nasamu Olayinka, stated this during the passing out ceremony of the Batch at Pa Ngele Oruta Stadium in Abakaliki, the State Capital.
Nasamu charged the exiting Corps Members to remain good Ambassadors of the scheme at all times.
She encouraged them to use the entrepreneurship skills they acquired during the service year to improve their economic wellbeing.
She said: “I pray for you that as you leave here to your different states and homes, favour will follow you. As you are all aware that not everybody that camped is passing out today.
“As for you, the service you have rendered to this State and Nigeria is quite commendable; as you go, you will get good jobs, many of you will be appointed into political positions.”
“Even as you wait for Government job, the entrepreneurship skills you have learnt will sustain you economically,” Nasamu added.
One of the outgoing corps members, Miss Ikede Favour, on behalf of others thanked the government and people of the state for their hospitality throughout their stay in the State.
