The Governor Peter Mbah-led administration of Enugu State, has been recognised and decorated by the League Bloggers Award (LBA) with the Best Government Sponsorship Award for the concluded 2023/2024 NPFL season beating competitions from Abia and Oyo states.
In a well attended Award and Dinner Night held at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Enugu State was voted the best club sponsor for the season with the massive support given to reigning NPFL Champions, Rangers International FC which led to the ‘Flying Antelopes’ lifting the trophy for the 8th time in its 54 years of existence.
Technical Adviser of the Coal City side, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, who had earlier won the NPFL Coach of the season award last week, was also voted the best coach of the season by LBA awards committee as he shrugged off the challenges of coach Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars and coach Olugbenga Ogunbote of 3SC in the LBA Coach-of-the-Season category.
Rangers’ major shirt sponsor and partner, Afrinvest West Africa Limited, also won the LBA award for the Best Brand Sponsorship Award in the NPFL beating off stiff opposition from Abia Warriors and 3SC shirt sponsors just as Rangers midfield maestro, Kazeem Ogunleye, also dusted other nominee’s to be voted the NPFL 2023/2024 BEST Midfielder of the season.
However, the media department of Rangers that got nominated for the NPFL 2023/2024 Media of the season, narrowly lost out to the media department of Sporting Lagos by the narrowest of margins in the voting pattern.
