Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has promised to revive the cattle menace committee in Anambra State Police Command.
During a meeting with the Hausa/Fulani Community in the state, the CP explained that the move was to mitigate the issues caused by stray cattle/herders and the communities.
He also said the resuscitation will help solve the problems posed by cattle grazing, such as the destruction of crops, accidents and conflicts between herders and local communities in the State.
The Commissioner assured residents that the Command under his watch will continue to take proactive steps to address all security concerns in the State.
He also noted that reviving the Committee will help to promote a safer and more harmonious coexistence between different communities.
