Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has forwarded 35 names to Ebonyi State House of Assembly as Commissioner designates.
Their names were read at the floor of the State Assembly during its inaugural sitting on Tuesday.
The only Senior Advocate of Nigeria from Ebonyi State, Prof Omari Omaka tops the list of the nominees.
Other notable names include Mr Elechi Elechi, son of former Governor Martin Elechi, a former Member of the House of Representatives, Peter Ogeali, and former Commissioner for Works and Transport, Ogbonnaya Abara Obasi.
Oguzor Ofiaa-Nwali, son of late former Senator Offia Nwali made the list, so also are former council Chairmen, Nkechi Iyioku, Ikeuwa Omebe and Felix Igboke.
Others on the list area Engr Stanley Lebechi Mbam, Leonard Uguru, Mathew Nwobashi, Elijah Okogwu -Afikpo North and Prof Nwogo Obasi -Afikpo South.
Prince Etta Ukah Ude, Hon. Victor Chukwu Uzoma, Jude Chikadibia Okpor, Chidi Onyia, Aligwe Ann, Professor John Awo Nwobashi and Uchenna Igwe also made the list.
Also Dr. Ben Odoh Uruchi, Stanley Ifeanyi Ogbuewu, Dr Donatus Ilang -Ikwo, Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu, Mrs. Chinwe Okah, Dr. Moses Ekuma Nnanna and Hon. Richard Idikeade made the list.
Mrs. Felicia Nwamkpuma, Chinedu Nkah, Engr. Francis Ori, Hon. Nkechi Iyioku – Ohaozara, Uzo Toochukwu Okorie, Ogbonna Okorie, Hon. Valentine Okike, Hon. Inyima Sunday, Solomon Azi were also nominated.
Screening of the nominees is expected to commence tomorrow at the State House of Assembly chambers.
Meanwhile, Governor Nwifuru has sworn-in the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Grace Umezurike, Principal Secretary, Mathias Adum and 20 Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
