Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia A Southwark Crown Court in London, has sentenced the convener of the Young Yorubas for Freedom, YYF, Adeyinka Grandson, to four and half years in prison for promoting racial hatred. The Yoruba separatist fundamentalist, was in August 2019, arrested in London over his social media posts against some ethnic groups in Nigeria. He had, in the offensive posts, made uncomplimentary remarks against Ndigbo as well as the Hausa-Fulani nations. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Heavy rains have wrecked residential houses, shops and marketplaces in some parts of the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo state. Ikengaonline gathered that the incident occurred Friday evening in the different locations of the Okigwe axis of the state. The Imo State Police Command has confirmed that hoodlums in large numbers came and attacked Mbieri Police station in Mbaitoli Local Government Area in the early hours of Friday. The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Michael Abattam, confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri. According to him, the hoodlums attacked the police station with Improvised Explosive Devices, IED, adding that the explosives caused damage to the station.
