Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has given reasons for shelving its planned nationwide strike over petrol subsidy removal initially scheduled to begin today, Wednesday, June 7. According to the House of Representatives, it will amount to breach of trust for the Federal Government to renege from fulfilling its promises to labour before the strike was put off. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) on Tuesday linked the alleged killings of unarmed residents of Anambra State, on “armed state actors” operating in Anambra State. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Two persons have been killed while a policeman sustained wounds in a resumed boundary dispute between two Ebonyi communities. The crisis is between Abaomege and Isinkwo communities of Onicha Local Government Area.
