Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extended the on-going collection of Permanent Voter Cards PVCs, by one week. INEC which took the decision at its regular meeting Thursday in Abuja, said the exercise would now end January 29 instead of Sunday January 22. The commission in a press statement issued by its National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, said the decision was to ensure no eligible voter was disenfranchised. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Police operatives in Anambra have rescued a kidnap victim and recovered stolen vehicle along Uga— Akokwa Road, Anambra State. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Police in Anambra State have confirmed the killing of three security operatives in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state. The gunmen were said to have attacked the operatives at the local government secretariat, while also beheading one of the slain operatives.
