Media Rights Agenda (MRA) today called on Governments at all levels to fulfill their obligations to ensure the safety of journalists by investigating all attacks against media practitioners as well as prosecuting and punishing the perpetrators of such attacks. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Gunmen have reportedly killed a member of the Ebubeagu security outfit in Ebonyi State. The incident, it was gathered, took place at Okposi community, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state, at 11pm, on Sunday. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Government has banned any form of political rallies in all primary and secondary schools from November 1, 2022. The State Governor, David Umahi, announced the decision at the citizens’ input and consultation for the 2023 budget estimation, and Nigeria 2023 pollution and housing census in Ebonyi State.
